What will you do when modeling is over?
Aren’t you too old to still be working as a model?
Shouldn’t you be thinking about something else by now?

To clarify: I work as a commercial model.
And commercial modeling is very different from high fashion.

Just look at catalogues or watch television commercials. You don’t see one age, one face, one type of beauty anymore. You see real people. Character. Life.

Commercial modeling means stepping into different roles and helping to tell a story that fits the product, a story people can identify with. Clients look for many different types of people, across different age groups, which is why commercial modeling isn’t tied to a specific age. You can do it for a long time, if you want.

Modeling also means working with different people all the time. Walking onto a set and quickly becoming a team. Listening, adapting, creating something together.
Every shoot is different, every brief asks something new of you and that’s what keeps it interesting. 🫶🏻

I feel grateful that this job allows me to work with so many inspiring people, see so many different places and at the same time have the freedom to say no to jobs and stay home with my family. 🥹

And no I don’t want to do something else.
Not because I couldn’t, but because I enjoy this.

I truly believe it’s important to do what you love. When you enjoy your work, it doesn’t feel like work. ❤️

I don’t know what the future will bring.
But for now, this feels right. 🫶🏻

2016 was a year of change. The year started in Ca

2016 was a year of change.

The year started in Cape Town working as a model, surrounded by winter sun. I reconnected with old friends, made new ones, loved life with my two sweet roommates, and had exciting shoots. 🥰
I felt alive, moving from one adventure to the next, but also restless… always chasing something I didn’t quite know.

After that I traveled to Sri Lanka with my boyfriend at the time, discovering new places and new perspectives. But 2016 also brought endings: a breakup, moving back into my old apartment, and learning how to be alone.

I was always on the go..traveling, working a lot, going out with friends, never really stopping. There were unforgettable memories, laughter and love, but also moments of doubt, sadness, and uncertainty.
Through it all I kept moving, kept learning, and kept trying to find my own rhythm. 😅

Looking at these photos now I can’t help but smile… at my super blonde hair (never again 😅) and at my younger self who thought life had to be loud and fast.

Now 10 years later I see the difference. I’m calmer, less impulsive, and learned to slow down. I love the time with my family and I also love my moments alone…something that wasn’t possible 10 years ago.

2016 taught me that growth doesn’t always feel graceful, that endings can be beginnings, and that the person you are becoming is often waiting quietly under all the chaos. 💕

On the 11th of January I started traveling by myself.

I was nervous. I overthought everything.
I kept asking myself: Should I really get on that plane?

I’m so glad I did.

I didn’t go looking for love.
I didn’t go searching for answers.
I just knew I needed space… from everything I thought I was supposed to be.

First I flew to Hong Kong.
Then I continued my journey to New Zealand and exactly nine years ago, on 16.01.2017, I met my husband there.

I wasn’t open to meeting anyone.
This trip was for ME.
I wanted to see the world, to be alone, to truly listen to myself again.

We met unexpectedly.
We spent two days together.
When he asked me to stay longer, I said no.

Because I knew: if it’s meant to be, it will be.

So I continued my journey…backpacking through different countries, spending long days alone with my thoughts, making new friendships, and meeting old friends along the way. 🫶🏻

That journey brought me back to myself.
It taught me to trust the unknown.
To say yes before fear could speak.
To stop trying to control the outcome.

My husband and I talked every single day.
And when my trip ended, I flew home… only to pack my bags again and fly to Amsterdam.🥹

That’s where our story truly began.

I didn’t expect anything…yet I met the love of my life. And I had experiences that shaped me into the person I am today. ❤️

It was important that I finished that trip.
It was important that I chose myself first.

So if you’re standing at the edge of something right now…unsure, scared, overthinking…

this is your sign.

Get on the plane.
Say yes to the journey.
Your life might be waiting on the other side 🤍✈️

Lately I’ve been feeling the need to change how I show up here..to share a bit closer to real life. At the same time, creating content takes a lot more time and energy than many people realize.

I’m learning to slow down, take evenings off, and allow myself to pause without feeling guilty. That’s one of my intentions for 2026: more balance, more presence, and more joy in what I share.

So for now I’m sharing a few pictures from a recent shoot but soon I’d love to show you more of the behind the scenes, the everyday moments, and the in-between.
